Company History

Debehams history dates back to 1778 when William established a store in Wigmore Street, London. Then William Debenham invested into the company and they formed a partnership, by 1950 Debenhams was the largest deparment store group in the UK owning 84 companies and 110 stores. From 1985-1998 Debenhams was part of the Burton group, during that time the business grew and it saw the introduction of Designers at Debenhams and many new stores opened. Later following it's demerger from Burton it was placed on the London Stock Exchange in 2003. It now has 167 UK stores and 61 international franchise stores in 24 countries.

Delivery

Delivery at Debenhams is free on orders over £30 and will be delivered within 4 working days or you can order online and collect from your local Debenhams store. Also keep an eye out for free delivery using Debenhams discount codes. Delivery outside of the UK costs £7 and delivery is within 5-14 working days. Please note that acceptions do apply to larger items such as furniture.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your order you can return your item to your local Debenhams store for a refund or exchange, alternatively you can use the Debenhams courier collection service or return via the Royal Mail service which are both free. Please check online before returning larger items. Refunds will be issues using the same method of the goods paid for and orders purchased using a voucher code will be refunded based on the promotional price.
