Company History

Sainsburys opened its first store in 1896 and has been one of the top UK supermarkets for 140 years, its first store was opened in Drury Lane selling butter, milk and eggs. Selling fresh groceries and opening more and more stores it then first stocked non food products in the Chichester branch in 1961. By 1986 Sainsburys was the first supermarket to sell organically grown fruit and vegetables. Now with over 934 stores and a growing online store Sainsburys still remains one of the UK's most loved supermarkets.

Delivery

Delivery costs for standard delivery which will take 3-5 working days costs £3.95 or for next day delivery the cost is £4.95 and you order must be placed by 2pm to receive it the following day. Other options are named day delivery which can cost £4.95 and also the same cost applies for Saturday delivery. There is also a click and collect option where by you shop online and collect your goods in your local Sainsburys. Often free delivery is available using a Sainsburys voucher code.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your order you can return it within 28 days for a refund or exchange via Sainsburys free Royal Mail system or some products may be delivered back to store, please check before doing so. For larger items you will need to call the customer care team to arrange a collection. Refunds will be issued using the same method of the goods paid for and orders purchased using a voucher code will be refunded based on the promotional price.
